With a scarcity of land available for urban farming, residents of the urban world often make use of planters to grow and nurture their favorite indoor plants. Recognizing the growing need of urban residents, industrial designers have come up with a variety of planters will all types of capabilities that make indoor gardening easy and convenient.
Australian designer Chi Dang believes that since the new generation is more interested in indoor plants and sees glass as a natural material, glass should not only be confined vases. Dang has designed a range of concept planters, made using glass and polycarbonate, to compliment any home décor. The aim of the project, according to the designer is to combine usability, design, simplicity, quality and celebration of nature and the attributes of glass.
